Me, Myself, and the Ring of Power

LeBron did it again this week.  Talking about something or another someone said about him, he said, “You know, I’m just going to use this as motivation for myself to become a better basketball player.”  How awesome would it be if LeBron and Dwyane Wade—and all the other athletes who insist on saying ‘myself’ when ‘I’ or ‘me’ is grammatically correct—said ‘my Precious’ instead?  ‘This is a very emotional time for my Precious,” LeBron would have said upon his return to Cleveland last year.  And we would have all understood.  Being tall and handsome and making millions of dollars to play a game does not prompt sympathy.  But being a ring-bearer is a bitch.

  1. Perfect in every way.

  2. Oh, Lebron. Or LeBron. I didn’t realize his name had that capital B. I think I’ve really only ever seen it in all caps.
