Baby Tactic #2 – Roll To Discomfort

The first thing is to rid yourself of the pacifier–if you sense that your energy is limited, forgo any other expenditure thereof until the pacifier is gone.  Once you are free from the mind-suck of the pacifier, your options broaden.  One of the most reliable tactics is to roll yourself into whatever position creates the greatest discomfort.  If you have been trained to sleep on your back, roll to front; if you have been trained to sleep on your belly, roll over onto your back.  The key is to irritate and infuriate yourself.  Central to the effectiveness of the Roll to Discomfort is concealment from the sleep-pushers of your ability to roll back to a comfortable position.  They will expect you to do so once they suspect that you are able, so you must never demonstrate to any of them that you can, if you can.  If you can truly roll in one direction only, so much the better–resist every inclination to attempt a re-roll.  Genuine ineptitude is the best camouflage.
