Die Summer

It is now entirely too hot.  I’m declaring war on light and warmth.  The thermometer in the hall upstairs says it is 79 degrees, which is the same as one million.  (Technical details: temperatures of 68 degrees and below are the temperatures they are, whereas temperatures 69 and above are the same as one million.)  The bedroom is stuffy and smells like baked cat box.  I’m going to stop sleeping until probably the second half of October.  Maybe I’ll sleep in the pond.

  1. It’s not quite that bad. I don’t think our bedroom smells like cat grossness.

  2. I feel you. I hate the heat and the sun, and I think they hate me back. When it gets brutal, and I am trying to figure out how it is that I now miss the two feet of snow from January, I always think of you. And I think that NC is always worse.
